MIXED AGE GROUPS
At ROBIGS, children aged 6 to 10 learn jointly in a class family. It is our goal to allow each pupil autonomous learning according to their individual performance capability, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. In the
mixed-age class families, the children are learning with and from each other by seeing the others as development models.
The small groups of generally 20 children at maximum, allow the individual concentration on each personality. Due to the heterogeneity of the learning groups, the children have different school experiences. Group learning promotes the reciprocal assistance and practical demonstration of rules and rituals.
The age-transcending lessons furthermore ensure maximum receptiveness. It may furthermore assist in the better handling of a possibly necessary change of school or family’s move, during the school year too.
