TRANSITION TO GRADE SCHOOL
The pupils of the ROSEN bilingual grade school learn
together with children of the bilingual daycare centre
ROKIDS, in one building, thus taking into consideration the
vertical perspective of their learning biography. All abilities, skills, knowledge and particularly the continuation of the bilingual learning of the english language, the „Zahlenzwerge“, the
„house of little Researchers“ and the technology from the very beginning are continued atROBIGS and are represented in all
fields of teaching.
The successful transition from Kindergarten to grade school is ensured by many joint activities in a loving
environment, together with the substantial learning objectives. Children, parents, educators and teachers
furthermore develop a common understanding of values with respect to the applicable rules and rituals in our
institutions, so the children continue their personal development and the expansion of their social
competencies on this social foundation.
This prevents substantial and spatial breaks for the children when transferring from the daycare centre to the
grade school. Many joint projects contribute to a successful transition during the bridging year prior to the enrolment into school. The cooperation of ROBIGS is naturally not limited to ROKIDS, but includes every child daycare centre which the subsequent pupils are visiting. The individual components contributing to a successful transition are regulated in cooperation agreements. The constant evaluation of these agreements assists in the further development of the cooperation.
