ENROLLMENT IN OUR BILINGUAL GRADE SCHOOL

Last Saturday we had welcomed the first-graders school enrollment at ROBIGS (ROSEN bilingual grade school). The total of 13 students were accompanied by their families for the first "day of school". Colorful, painted transparents, painted by the ROBIGS, little chairs and the sand box were the child-friendly atmosphere for the first welcome as schoolchildren.

Stefan Rühlmann welcomed all the present pupils, parents, grandparents and teachers in German and English and praised the courage of the ROBIGS team to tackle such a project, although the path has not been easy. Tanja Pavlitzek, our headmistress, particularly emphasized the confidence of the parents set in the ROSEN Group: "We all know what responsibility has been given to us. Be sure we are with full heart and soul into it. The team has really, really worked hard, so that we are all here today and can take care best for your children."

In preparation to the upcoming school time the pupils had prepared a small Anglo-German program with different songs. They started with "All children learn to read " where the individual "letter animals" (disguised students) declared the individual verses and letters. All parents, grandparents and teachers sang the last song lines together: "Hi kids, here we go", thus fixing the motto of the day. The unloved raindrops that fell to the English song "Head Shoulders, Knees and Toes" were simply laughed away at twice the singing speed.

We are delighted that ROBIGS commenced school operating since Monday and wish all schoolchildren fun and enjoy discovering the world.
